Forging on

Forging words of steel
Requires a lot of effort
And white-hot fire.

In my soul, O God,
Refine my heart in fire,
Let me be like you.

Reminder for me:
Temper justice with mercy
Be there, help others.

"God's alive today!"
Listen, echoes of conscience
whisper words of truth.

Friendly laughter smiles
Passing time a little while
Travel many miles.

I like it! and the title fits perfectly.

on a technical note, fire has one syllable when writing, but if you "say" it, it gets stretched into two.
and that means you might want to rework your first stanza.
